Kuusakoski – strategy implementation
Kuusakoski is an international expert and a pioneer in the Finnish recycling business. Kuusakoski’s management team has a goal to involve the entire staff in renewing their operations based on the new strategy. Another goal was to increase employees’ understanding of the functions and services of different units at Kuusakoski.
PARTNERSHIP FOR STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION, IN WHICH:
- A dialogue platform was produced to be used by all personnel in Finland and Sweden.
- Internal facilitators were trained to lead strategy workshops.
Dialogue method was well liked, and many teams have wanted to repeat the platform exercise . They also created a basis from which we were able to continue various development measures. The entire staff’s strategy literacy has clearly improved.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- The entire staff participated in the strategy discussion and learned how to implement the strategy in their work.
- Dialogue exercises created an opportunity for better cooperation between different departments as staff learned the functions and services of other units.
- A sound basis for the continuation of the development activities was obtained through dialogue work. Two development items are selected each year based on the strategy-related answers in the personnel surveys.
