The focus of the One Glaston operational culture development program was the virtual dialogue workshops for managers, where they could discuss and solve tasks with new colleagues about Glaston’s new brand, values , and uniform ways of working. The managers also received instructions and concrete tools (virtual and physical) to involve their teams in the dialogue about selected topics. Glaston and former Bystronic management team members worked with us as co-design partners throughout the program.

Good preparation, clear information, and good dialogue exercises. The small group dialogue brought us in contact with colleagues we would never have met regularly in day-to-day work. This is a perfect example of ‘One Glaston’ ideals. If we are all one Glaston, we must work together and cooperate.

Accomplishments

  • In co-designing the program with Glaston’s management team, trust and a shared vision were built between the management team members about what One Glaston is.
  • Virtual dialogue work made it possible to get to know managers working in different parts of the world, and solving dialogue tasks together built trust between people from different operational cultures. This promoted the emergence of a common culture and way of working.
  • Thanks to the dialogue method and process, the entire organization: management team, managers, and other personnel were involved in creating and internalizing a common operating culture efficiently and effectively.
